A Very Berry Unbirthday Armwarmers

Ok, so this is my first written pattern....so bear with me. This can be done in the round, but I suck with circular needles/dpn's so it is seamed.

I don't really pay attention gauge...I used Stitch Nation's Full O' Sheep Yarn in passionfruit...It's amazing.  100% Peruvian Wool. It is so warm.

Co 24 stitches with both skeins. This makes the stitches a little more bulkier...plus it looks really nice.
Rows 1-3 Knit all
Rows 4-10 Purl one row, Knit one row. [Basic Stockinette]
Rows 11-12 Knit
Rows 13-14 Purl
Rows 15-19 Knit 1 stitch, Purl 1 stitch. [Always start with a knit, always end with a purl]
Rows 20-21 Knit
Rows 22-24 Purl
Rows 25-26 Knit
Rows 27-29 Knit one row, Purl one row [Stockinette]
Rows 30-31 Knit
Rows 32-33 Purl
Rows 35-38 Knit 1 Stitch, Purl one Stitch
Rows 39-40 Knit
Row 41-Purl
Bind Offf

For the thumb, simply cast on 10 sts, three rows in basic garter stitch, bind off. seam the thumb and body of the armwarmer. [Make sure they're both turned inside out first.] Sew up the edge, leaving a hole for where you'd like the thumb to be placed. Attach the thumb and weave in any loose threads. Turn inside out and enjoy :D
